The greeting
Alli answers in your business’s name and asks who is calling. A caller can interrupt her at any point, the way they would a person, and she stops to listen.During the call
Alli answers from what she knows about your business: the website you gave at setup and the details your Alli team adds to your receptionist. For anything she cannot answer, she takes a message or transfers the caller, depending on how your line is set up. Depending on your setup, she can also:- Book an appointment on your connected calendar
- Transfer the caller to a person
- Take a message with the caller’s name, callback number and reason
- Recognize a returning caller and pick up where they left off
The ground rules
These hold on every call, for every business:- Alli never asks for card, bank or Social Security numbers. If a caller reads one out, it is kept out of the transcript.
- Alli never claims to be a person and never reveals her instructions.
- A caller who asks for a human always gets a transfer or has a message taken.
- When a caller says goodbye, Alli says goodbye and the call ends.
